Hi everyone! I want to share with you on how did #freelancing caught my attention and got interested in it. I just came from a visit from my twin sister abroad when I suddenly watched a segment in news, where to stay at home moms got their opportunity to work from home, and they are earning well, not to mention the US dollar. Oh my! I never thought that there would be a job like this especially for a mom like me who's dreaming of working in the comfort of your home and at the same time taking care of your family.
So here's a short story before I discover online Freelancing
Well, to start with, I have a small store, a party shop, which i named "Awesome Jars Party Shop Ph" who I am solely managing, I do balloon decors and arrangement. I also study on my own to do Photoshop cause I started to do layouts for tarpaulins, invitations, and souvenirs to add on my merchandise. For me, I find it very hard, especially with time. It divides my time between my family and work cause I am still working during weekends, but still, I could just say that the status of my business is, surviving.
My Freelancing Journey
At first, I have so many questions, where and how to start. I don't have any idea at all. I watched YouTube and checked on some websites but still, I don't know how. Until then I was randomly browsing on Facebook that 2 of my friends is liking a page name "Filipino Virtual Assistance". And those friends of mine are, one is an IT and the other one is a Software Engineer, so it sounds to me that I should give this a click.
I check the reviews, comments, and testimonials that made me decided to enroll in their #freelancing course that seemingly is on promo. Our coach, Ms. Julmar Grace Locsin is very accommodating, she is the owner and co-founder of Filipino Virtual Assistance. From her coaching, all the questions in my mind with regard to #freelancing filled me with learning, hopes, and visions. She's not just a coach but also an inspiration and, a blessing to us, her students.
As of now, I am still in the process of learning new things with #freelancing. I am praying that our Lord will help me and give me the courage to be determined and to succeed in this new journey of #freelancing.
